Job Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the standard costing system in a manufacturing environment. Provides financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, and reporting cost data.
Job Details/Responsibilities
- In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
- Monthly work order closing responsibilities. Review, analyze and correct work order errors.
- Lead monthly plan variance meeting.
- Preparation and analysis of plant variance and management reports.
- Partner with Plant Leadership Team to determine, analyze and report cost saving initiatives. Provide a link between operations departments and finance for greater consistency and accuracy of reporting and in-depth business analysis.
- Assist in development of annual budget as related to product costing.
- Assist in year-end audit by collaborating closely with auditors and supplying information as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Background Experiences
Requires a four-year college degree in Accounting and a minimum of five years of cost accounting experience. Advanced computer software skills, i.e., Microsoft office. Experience with Crystal Reports and JD Edwards or similar ERP software preferred.
This position requires someone to be on site in Ann Arbor, MI. There is some flexibility for 60% remote work.
The annualized base salary range for this role is $76,000 to $88,000. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
