Job Summary

In partnership with the product management team, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for designing, creating, and delivering marketing tactics to support the growth and expansion of products within an assigned product portfolio and/or therapeutic area(s) for Terumo Interventional Systems (TIS). Will be responsible for supporting downstream activities to include product launches, sales training and education and execute product commercialization plans. Creates, conveys product messages and improves awareness. Develops presentations and provides reports based on information collected such as marketing trends, competition, new products, and pricing. May coordinate involvement in conferences, exhibitions and marketing seminars.

 

Key to the success of the Marketing Specialist is the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively to build successful partnerships with all key stakeholders to support strategies and tactics when necessary, based on voice of customer and emerging trends.  Successfully developing and cultivating relationships throughout the internal Shared Services group that support the business is also critical to success.

Job Details/Responsibilities

  1. Support the execution of marketing strategies and tactics to achieve revenue and operating profit targets.
  2. Facilitate the coordination of core training and associated sample ordering for training breakouts.
  3. Handle requests relating to general product information, literature and samples for trade and distributor shows.
  4. Develop sales presentations and provide reports based on information collected such as marketing trends, competition, new products, and pricing. 
  5. Support the development of sales and marketing tactics to include but not limited to brochures, trade advertising, training manuals, show materials and other collateral materials with input from Marketing and Sales.
  6. Routinely communicate with the sales force regarding product updates and availability, competitive activity, sales positioning, best practices, and new product development updates.  
  7. Oversee the inventory of all related product literature and reprints.
  8. Partner with internal cross-functional teams to manage and create content and messaging for promotions for digital marketing through various distribution channels (email, you-tube, social media) with established metrics and maintain library of sales and marketing materials.
  9. Work with Marketing Communications to ensure effective product positioning at trade shows and symposia.
  10. Participate in field visits to end users. 
  11. Team with Field Clinical and Training & Education to support best in class product and procedural training and selling strategies.  
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with all TMC Quality Systems requirements. This includes but is not limited to the prompt recognition and forwarding of customer complaints (e.g., adverse events, product performance reports, etc.) to Quality Assurance (QA), and by ensuring all promotional messaging (i.e. branding strategies, product claims, etc.) and materials (i.e. literature) discussed or presented to customers are clinically accurate and adhere to AdvaMed guidelines and Terumo’s policy on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals.  Maintain strong knowledge of and adherence to regulations regarding promotional material content and control. Follow procedures for good clinical practices and Design Control when participating in new product development and clinical activities. Fully adhere to all applicable FDA regulations, international guidelines and Terumo’s policies at all times. 
  13. Perform light administrative responsibilities to support the TIS Product Management team including expense management and travel arrangements, invoice processing, sample orders, new vendor setup, and field promotion fulfillment.
  14. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills with command of proper grammar and punctuation.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, prioritization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be flexible enough to change priorities with short notice when necessary. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to relate well with Territory Managers, Region Managers, and customers on the phone and in person. 
  • Able to work independently with minimal direction. 
  • Exhibit strong teamwork and adapt at working cross-functionally. 
     

Qualifications/ Background Experiences

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, business and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales or marketing position, preferably in pharmaceutical, medical devices or other highly regulated industry; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Digital marketing experience a plus
  • Experience managing multiple projects (simultaneously)
  • Must be computer proficient with proven capabilities to utilize MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and i-Pad navigation.

Pay range: $57,000 - $78,430
