Job Summary
Responsible for investigating and recommending improvements in and/or additions to current products under the direction of the assigned engineering department.
Job Responsibilities (continued)
1. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
2. Implement specified projects and prepare proper documentation.
3. Provide engineering support in the design, fabrication, development, installation, validation, and qualification of equipment/product that may include data collection and analysis, and feasibility studies prepared and appropriately documented.
4. Research and recommend cost reduction projects.
5. Gather, track, and analyze data for meetings, business plan, etc. (yields/output/efficiencies).
6. Conduct lab studies, record activities, and prepare final reports for review as necessary.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
The position exists in an office environment within a manufacturing facility. May require gowning procedures for controlled environment. May require the use of eye protection, hand protection and, depending on noise level, may require hearing protection. Requires sitting for long periods of time with occasional stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, etc. May require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, of objects up to, but not limited to, 10 lbs. Frequent repetitive motion tasks performed. No travel required. This position is not eligible to work remotely. This may change based on job responsibilities, project/business needs and/or Associate job performance. In all cases Associates may need to have on-site presence for designated meetings and compliance related activities.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay for this position is $17.50/hour for undergraduate students and $20.50/hour for MBA/graduate students.
Qualifications/ Background Experiences
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and basic computer software skills, i.e., Microsoft Office. Prefer students to have completed at least one year of college coursework toward a degree in engineering discipline.
