Job Summary
The General Assembler position is an entry-level position in which the associate performs a variety of tasks in support of the production department to which they are assigned. While the nature of the work can at times seem routine, strict adherence to process requirements and attention to detail are paramount at all times. The final products being manufactured are FDA regulated medical devices which must function perfectly every time to ensure patient welfare and safety.
Job Details/Responsibilities
- Actions that are typical of this position include: measuring, cutting, weighing, transporting, cleaning, assembling, packing, and inspecting parts to be used in sub-assemblies or in final product assembly.
- Learn, understand, and apply Good Documentation Practices and current Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Learn and understand the S.O.P. for each function the associate is performing.
- Complete required trainings timely and stay current on all required certifications.
- Follow all safety requirements and maintain clean work area.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)
- Typically requires manual dexterity/hand-eye coordination with 20/20, equivalent, or corrective vision.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow precisely detailed instructions
- Basic Computer Skills
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged time periods
Qualifications/ Background Experiences
- Entry level position that requires a high school diploma or equivalent
