Job Summary
This role is responsible for leading the implementation of all Terumo Health Outcomes (THO) product offerings within client hospitals, ensuring seamless integration across both technical and clinical domains through managing a team of clinical and implementation specialist. The position plays a critical role in establishing and maximizing the value of partnerships while ensuring alignment with the Cardiac & Vascular (C&V) strategy to drive growth across Terumo’s digital portfolio.

- Drive Scalable Implementation and Development Excellence for Digital Solutions: Develop and implement a robust program that ensures seamless and efficient customer deployments while delivering a best-in-class customer experience.
- Strategic Partnership and Expansion: Establish and strengthen relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to drive the successful adoption of Terumo’s Digital Solutions. Leverage Development Partnerships to expand Terumo’s footprint in the digital healthcare landscape.
- Deployment and Integration Leadership: Lead the deployment and integration strategies for emerging digital solutions and technologies, including Dual Sensor and Quirem. Navigate complex hospital IT security reviews and ensure smooth integration with Clinical Workflows, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems).
- This role is critical in advancing Terumo’s digital transformation by ensuring scalable, efficient, and secure implementation of innovative healthcare technologies.
- Direct High-Impact Strategic Collaborations: Cultivate and drive meaningful partnerships between Terumo Health Outcomes (THO), C-suite healthcare executives, industry innovators, and Terumo’s diverse business units, including the PACE Team. Position THO as a trusted strategic partner by fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with evolving healthcare needs.
- Maximize Customer Insights and Solution Growth: Establish a dynamic feedback loop with customers to enhance solution effectiveness and long-term viability. Leverage real-world insights to refine product offerings, strengthen customer engagement, and drive continuous improvement across Terumo’s digital health solutions.
- Drive Market Expansion and Sales Support: Identify synergies across healthcare applications to support sales growth and expand Terumo’s market presence. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to unlock new opportunities and enhance the impact of THO solutions.
- Champion the C&V+ Strategy: Promote and advance the Cardiac & Vascular Plus (C&V+) strategy through strategic engagements, cross-functional partnerships, and forward-thinking initiatives that integrate innovation across Terumo business units. Serve as a thought leader in shaping the future of digital health solutions within the organization and the broader healthcare ecosystem.

- Develop Global Clinical & Integration Stacks: Build and facilitate clinical and digital infrastructure to incorporate geographically sensitive data sets while adapting to diverse clinical workflows. Drive upstream global marketing strategies and provide expert consultation to Terumo’s regional teams in Japan, Asia Pacific, and Europe. Align global business processes for digital solutions under the One Terumo, C&V+ strategy.
- Lead Clinical & Digital Integration Teams: Direct Terumo Health Outcomes' Integration Teams to create a high-performance clinical platform seamlessly integrated with electronic medical records (EMRs) and clinical workflows. Oversee all aspects of implementation, integration, security assessments, interface development, customer engagement, and product evolution. Identify and mitigate project risks while facilitating pull-through sales opportunities, positioning integration teams as key enablers of C&V+ strategy and education.
- Strengthen Strategic Development Partnerships: Identify, establish, and manage strategic partnerships to enhance market awareness, support upstream marketing efforts, and drive additional revenue-generating opportunities. Align development initiatives and oversee engagements to achieve strategic goals, including research publications and industry influence.
- Execute Scalable Integration Strategies: Drive the adoption of both internal and third-party integrations to accelerate the C&V+ strategy. Ensure all integration efforts enhance scalability, customer engagement, and long-term retention.
- Oversee Project Portfolio & Compliance: Manage the full digital project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Align initiatives with PMO standards and regulatory requirements, including compliance for FDA Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) certification. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- This is a field-based position. Travel may be throughout the 50 states and international.
- Daily entry to hospitals and other medical facilities is required. Many facilities have instituted vendor credentialing policies, which require vendors to meet defined training, background check, and proof of immunization requirements as a condition of entry. Terumo Associates entering these facilities are required to abide by these credentialing requirements.
- Must be able to gain access to and work in the IR suite, Cath lab, operating room, inpatient units, ER, and off-site clinics or offices. Entry into these areas requires an ability to wear appropriate gowning, stand for long periods of time, comply with hospital policy/protocol and be aware of potential biohazards such as blood borne pathogens
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)
- Skilled in project and portfolio management experience, including managing projects across multiple hospital systems, updating, and reporting project status across portfolios of work. Identifying, documenting, and presenting project scope, timelines, budgets status, and roadblocks for healthcare service projects
- Demonstrated excellent written communication skills to facilitate project status reports tailored for internal/external audiences at all levels of the org chart
- Ability to effectively develop, engage and manage a team
- Excellent understanding of IT, Operational, and Clinical processes across hospitals, clinics, and ASCs
- EMR implementation, optimization, documentation, and reporting capabilities
- Knowledge and functional understanding of HL7, FHIR, and DICOM interfaces
- Ability to support hospital system security reviews for ePRISM with data examples and support for questionnaire completion.
- Ability to create data reports from healthcare EMRs and other supporting programs – examples would be supply chain, charge master, and productivity reporting systems
- Expertise in physician, nursing, and ancillary staff documentation workflow and workflow design
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, training, and the ability to stay abreast of the current endovascular procedural applications, patient care requirements, and hospital guidelines.
- Well-developed problem solving, influencing and consultative skills
- Ability to present and effectively communicate complex clinical, technical, and patient care information to a broad range of constituents
- Working knowledge of Epic and Cerner’s software
- Aptitude to identify and assimilate IT tools into the Care Pathway workflow
- Knowledge of healthcare, specifically cardiology, registries and abstraction process
Qualifications/ Background Experiences
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, IT or related field, with minimum 20 years in healthcare project management including managing multi-project portfolios in the Healthcare/IT space, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Project management certification for FDA certified digital products preferred
- EMR credentialing and/or certification, supporting physician, surgeon, and nursing workflow build in at least 1 EMR required. Credentialing in multiple EMRs, including Epic and Cerner, preferred
- Minimum of 10 years experience leading performance/business process improvement activities, including analyzing workflow processes utilizing PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous process improvement methodologies and direct experience building IT systems is preferred
- Minimum 10 years experience in SAAS Utilization and engagement in the Healthcare industry required
- Minimum 5 years experience providing in person and written executive portfolio status reports required
