Production Supervisor - TPR

Job Summary

Provided leadership to the production teams to deliver the business results and expectations on a day-to-day basis. This position requires having required skills set to handle employee performance and operational issues related to the personnel under his/her charge, quality systems, and manufacturing processes. The position is responsible for ensuring that standard production processes are maintained, and that production volumes and quality goals are met.

Job Details/Responsibilities

Supervision and Leadership

• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of hourly associates, including assigning tasks, setting clear goals, and monitoring performance.
• Facilitate training sessions to ensure team members are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge. Develop individual team members through coaching and mentoring.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement performance improvement plans as needed. Recognize and reward outstanding performance.
• Ensure smooth operations by coordinating workflows, resolving issues, and addressing concerns promptly. Maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Foster a positive work environment through effective communication. o Encourage collaboration and teamwork to achieve organizational goals. 
• Production Management
• Oversees daily production operations to ensure adherence to schedules. 
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure that all production activities are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures. 
• Quality Assurance 
• Ensure products meet all quality standards and specifications. 
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures. 
• Collaborate with quality assurance and regulatory teams to maintain compliance with ISO standards, FDA regulations and any other regulatory agency. 
• Safety and Compliance
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards. 
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. 
• Continuous Improvement 
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Participate in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives. 
• Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Inventory and Resource Management
• Manage inventory levels to ensure availability of materials for production.
• Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams to address material shortages or delays. 
• Optimize the use of production resources to minimize waste and reduce costs.
• Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain accurate production records and reports. 
• Prepare and present production metrics and performance reports to management. 
• Ensure that all production documentation is complete and accurate.
• Ensure compliance with all TPR procedures and all applicable regulatory agency requirements. 
• Contribute to a positive work environment by fostering open communication with team members, other departments, and management, promote teamwork, and commitment to excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)

• Capacity to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draws valid conclusions.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and capable of communicate both in Spanish & English.
• Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications and MFG software.
• Knowledge of ISO and quality systems is a plus. o Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices is a plus.
• Must have good people skills with the ability to energize and motivate staff 
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and influence positive outcomes.

Qualifications/ Background Experiences

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering or Business Administration (Industrial Management preferred).
• Minimum of (3-5) years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing industry with proven track record that demonstrates leadership. Medical device, pharmaceutical, or electronic industries are preferred
