Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring that import / export shipments comply with applicable government rules and regulations and that support for timely processing of import and export shipments is provided to our internal and external customer base.  

Job Details/Responsibilities

  1. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
  2. Ensure that all inbound shipments are tracked by various transportation modes.
  3. Facilitate/maintain communication with internal / external parties.
  4. Maintain internal data/record keeping to ensure all requirements are met.
  5. Interact with various departments to successfully handle all Subsidiary requests.
  6. Responsible for the export order entry process: receive export orders, verify, enter into the ERP system and provide order acknowledgement.
  7. Ensure the scheduling of all shipments by coordinating with the various freight forwarders.
  8. Ensure that other various transactions such as credit memos are processed accurately and timely.
  9. Ensure the proper process is followed for return good authorizations, payment of freight, instructions are accurate and updated for return into the US.
  10. Initial complaint form submission for Distributed Party products from International Subsidiaries
  11. Properly classify freight to ensure accurate customs clearance.
  12. Properly review and classify material to ensure accurate country of origin information, New Items Add (NIA) forms and confirm ERP data is accurate.
  13. Ensure that all internal steps are followed prior to completion of Import/Export Shipments.  To include non-sellable requests. 
  14. Ensure compliance to applicable Government Export regulations by use of paid automated subscription restricted party screening service following the current department practice.
  15. Prepare or obtain all requested official documentation.
  16. Comply with all required US Export requirements, SED (Shippers Export Declaration), adherence to restricted License shipments, review of shipments for additional adherence to International commodity controls.
  17. Comply with all required US Import requirements to ensure proper clearance through applicable government agencies
  18. Prepare department reports, and analysis as requested.
  19. Utilizes the systems and processes in place to assist in the development and engage train and retain talented associates; creating a work environment where associates can realize their full potential, thus allowing the organization to meet business needs.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

The position exists in an office environment within a manufacturing facility. Requires sitting for long periods of time with occasional stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, etc. May require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, of objects up to, but not limited to, 10 lbs. Frequent repetitive motion tasks performed.  Requires travel up to 10%. This position may be eligible to work remotely 90% of the time. This may change based on job responsibilities, project/business needs and/or Associate job performance.  In all cases Associates may need to have on-site presence for designated meetings and compliance related activities.

Qualifications/ Background Experiences

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of experience that includes one or more of the following: international order processing, processing of logistic for international order delivery, logistic experience importing into the US, or record keeping requirements for imports and exports to and from the US. Basic computer software skills, i.e. Microsoft Office.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $66,950.00 to $84,258.00. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
